I’m thrilled to share that several colleagues (Malcolm Druett, Chris Osborne, Dominique Petit dit de la Roche, Ioannis Kontogiannis, and André M. Silva) and I, are working on a card game about photons escaping the Sun!

In December 2025, our project received funding from the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus-Stiftung and Atypical Pictures, Inc., enabling us to further develop the game and bring it to life visually. We’re especially excited to collaborate with the talented Jad Estephan, who is creating the artwork for the game.

Our aim is to combine solid solar physics with engaging gameplay, making complex concepts about radiative transfer and the solar atmosphere accessible in a playful way. Stay tuned for more updates!
